liberate me
from the anguish
     the fear
     the burden
that is holding
on my life
it is risen in me
despite my battles
to contain it.
i have cried tears
       been shut out
       and screamed
to no avail
i remain captive
         hurting
         terrified
         plagued
looking out into light from darkness
praying to allow the serene to unfold
from within
         ease the hurt
         find the courage
         and be strong
