Shamontiel L. Vaughn, the creator of the novel Change for a Twenty, has over thirty published articles, four short stories, and four poems in various locations including and magazines such as Citizens in America Magazine (NY), Fate Magazine (MN), Spoken Vizions Magazine (MO), and Underlined Magazine (IL).

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from Lincoln University (MO) and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Writing degree at DePaul University (IL). She is a professional Assistant Copyeditor, a freelance editorial writer, and a novelist. Her primary writing focus concentrates on stories that the Generation X and Y groups can relate to.
