A child sits waiting
Wondering
If her mother will come back
As her grandmother strokes her weary back
The tears fall slowly but surely
For the love she fears she lacks
"I want my mommy!"
She screams as sobs shake her little body
For the one she calls Mommy treats her like a nobody
She's chosen drugs over her child so many times
who the hell can keep count
The grandmother dosen't know what to do
to hydrate the little girl from her love drought
She just holds her and prays the mother will come to her senses
But the mother is deaf to the little girl's cries
Only crack holds her attention
