i disappear into dark night
it covers me warm like velvet
words i am unwilling to say
dance behind hidden thoughts
my mind wanders to what could of been
i laugh at my own folly
a clown with an unpainted face
and shallow water appearing deep begins to rise
to my chagrin all i have left are empty hands
