standing so far away from everything
I see into heaven's pinkest skies
awesome hues of purples and blues
and sometimes stars with their unassuming glimmer
the sun descends below it's horizon
only to begin another day on another side of life

the pale moonlight shines through me
and yet another night begins
the progression of light to dark amazes me
intrigue fills my eyes as I watch
the beginnings of another world unfold

a velvet blanket of midnight covers
shadow pierces through and surrounds all my eyes consume
the unassuming glimmer of stars isn't so unassuming now
they command the admiration of so many in the softest of whispers
I am compelled to pay the tribute to their creator
for He is also my creator
and His craftsmanship is flawless.
