samantha white is a 24 year-old senior Psychology major at SUNY New Paltz. Formerly a resident of Cairo, Georgia for her entire life, was transplanted into New York life in August, 2002 and she is loving it.
She has been trying her hand at poetry since the age of twelve and she's deeply inspired by Nikki Giovanni, ee cummings, Langston Hughes and many other great black poets.
Each and every poem that i write is about my relationships...whether that relationship is with family, friends, lovers, or just pitifully hilarious day-to-day situations.
She says "The poetry that i have read on this web page is out of this world. I didn't realize there were so many people like me out there. Maybe i have been too sheltered."
