I stand on the river Jordan 
casting my lifeline into the waters 
pulled out a future bright as the morning star

Throw the line back in with all the hurt and pain
I've gone through, 
pulled it out once again

To attach my sins
cast the line one more time

Toss it back in 
watching all my transgressions 
float to the top

For one last chance to recapture me
take out my knife and cut the line
