Remembering Our Song

by Walter Rooks

Remember that song that played,
slow and long
the love we made;

do you?

Remember our bodies explored,
opening flesh, every ounce,
the love we poured;

do you?

Remember the rhythm we found,
amidst our climax, the passion,
the sound;

do you?

Remember the way we shared,
bodies, hearts, minds,
souls paired;

do you?

Remember the music beneath sheets,
as our love orchestrates love,

do you remember?
