Whatever happened to the blackness in black
Have our values been demoralized 
Or is it leadership we lack
Where did we lose the strength of black power
We're killing our own trees for our fruits have gone sour
How can the power of one destroy a great people
Why do we continuously subtract ourselves from ourselves
While asking to be equal
Young people now praise ghettos as if it's a blessing to be poor
They boast about representing housing projects
Yet only dream of much more
We now have the freedom to do this the right to do that
Yet we've gotten so comfortable with being platinum black
As a people we are blind for the devil we've befriended
There are no more great blacks for true blackness has ended
