I 'm not here to talk of black or white, instead,

I'll talk about a more common color, the color of RED.

See, it's RED that flows behind the biggest lies,

It's RED that flows when an innocent dies.

We blacks have stooped to the lowest levels,

When we think we're the only ones mistreated by these devils.

When I say RED, it's not only the color, on which you'd look,

When I say READ, I mean have you opened up a book?!!

We say that the this black and white thing is holding us down,

But, who do I see that's always acting like a clown?

Let's talk about RED- like vaccines especially made,

Let's talk about RED- LIKE THE CROSS THAT GAVE AFRICA AIDS!!

With this entire black and white thing, we've forgotten about the RED,

But, “my pinky ring cost $300,000!” How many people could I have fed?

It's not a black or white thing at Christmas, when our budgets go into the RED,

But, save our money or spend it wisely? We'll cook black-eyed peas on New Year's instead.

There's no black or white, but RED in our diamonds and gold,

In the African mines, they cut off the children's arms when the parents don't work…let the truth be told.

RED is the color of embarrassment, it should be for ignorance as well,

Because our GREED and IGNORANCE are what is keeping us in this hell.

So, no more talk of this black or white, I'll talk about the RED,

And not about what the whites have done,

But what I haven't done instead.
