A man and his wife
made their home in the country of Africa.
They would spend their afternoons
mingling peaceably among the natives,
soaking in the culture,
and buying art from the street vendors
before returning home,
where the feeling of paved roads would greet them
as the gate closed behind them.
"Such beauty,
it's a shame that so many will never
know it."
"Ignorance is not shallow like the tide,
but deep like a well",
rejoined her husband.
Satisfied with his profound statement,
and with what his state meant,
he pondered no more.
