Kevin Reeves is the newest gust of fresh air coming out of the windy city. His literary influences are Richard Wright, Maya Angelou and Ralph Ellison. After a career as an exceptional high school and collegiate athlete, Reeves decided to focus all of his energy and discipline towards writing, teaching and lecturing. Reeves' much anticipated debut book of poetry entitled, into the blue, is due to hit bookshelves in April 2003. into the blue will be published by Power2Image (www.power2image.com), a company that Reeves along with poet/author Pierre Sutton Jr. and artist extraordinaire D'Angelo Haywood founded. Reeves received a Bachelors of Arts from Harvard University and currently resides in Chicago.
