Systematic oppression
         the black man knows
             oh so well!

        Guess that's the answer
          to why our lives
       are such a living hell!

         Spending most of our
         life time in a cell.

          Late at night is
         when one stares into
         the empty space of:
           'Hell's Cell.'

          Fire that burns
       all you hear is crying
         and yearns!  All the
   wrong and violence comes back
      to haunt, conscious mind
       of a reproaching wrong!

      Nobody around so I ain't
         got to be strong.

All the lying, stealing and killing
     Misplaced anger ain't seen
         moma in so long,
       she can't understand
     where her son went wrong!

       She thinks she raised
a stranger-I'm in love with danger
     the system breeded anger.
