How overwhelming  is this emotion called love...
this 4 letter word gives truth to the phrase 
"the same thing that makes you laugh can make you cry"
can you feel the energy flowing though this phrase
sometimes that very thought dazes me and leaves me quite amazed
how can something or someone that can cause your soul to overflow with excitement...
at the same time cause unbelieveable pain
how can we love so strongly...
yet be confused about the love that is given...
how do you give me everything..yet leave me nothing
love...so confused by this word
intrigued by its lure, it's power, its cruel twists and turns
opening up you soul to be love...
but at the same time opening it up to be burnt
It feels so good to be loved, cherish, and held...
wanting more and more of that good feeling flowing so freely in the air
unaware of the dangers that lurks in the shadows...
hiding in those dark corners... 
ready to take all that is good and pure...
stripping it of the admiration it truly deserves...
And  we as humans, Men and Woman, Boys and Girls...never see...
Sight blinded by that feeling of sercuity.."that we were meant to be"
Not preparing ourselves for the battles that lies ahead...
waiting for just one chance ...to attack and leave love for dead...
AND STILL WE RISE????
For most of us this is not true
LOVE was not strong enough to beat LOVE...
oh please tell me that you are feeling me...LOVE BEAT LOVE???
But it happens to a select few...who truly knew... 
the value of love..the beauty of love...
the kindness of love...and yes the cruelty of love
AND STILL THEY RISE..
Standing tall and strong, hand and hand, together...
whole... as one...
