It’s like when you’re physically attracted to someone,
and they are physically attracted to you.
There is this constant interplay amongst you that is magnetic.
You feed off of that physical attraction
And for those first few moments, you sometimes think you’ve fallen in love.
As time progresses, you realize that the shine on their armor is lost,
and your left with nothing but tin.
Unattractive and no longer interesting.
But sometimes as this was my case, my first experience,
And as unusual as it was for me to admit, he took me by surprise.
This attraction that came wasn’t physical, even though I had seen his face.
This was mental, an attraction of the mind.
It was truly about the person within,
that I wanted to have a further understanding of
I thought of him, and the first thing that came to my mind was his integrity,
the way he challenged and dared to think outside the box, than most people
His thoughts were my thoughts, are my thoughts,
at least the thoughts that he had opened up too.
The question still persisted
Which one makes a bigger impression?
Is it the mind or the body?
Realistically most say the body
Ideally it has to be the mind
That mental command you can have over someone
and that they can have over you,
will always be captivating and keep you intrigued for life.
I’ll take my chances with his mind, and see where it takes me.
