Daddy said, “Don’t cry baby”
But he didn’t know
The emotions that continually grow,
In the pit of my belly...
Fighting off the pains of love.
I’m love’s biggest fool…
But Daddy said, “Love is God’s greatest gift”
I know a little how Jesus felt,
Condemned for giving others’ spirits a lift.
Ridiculed and banished for being unselfish…
Heart beating for a special someone,
Friends and family calling me dumb;
Married to the one I love…
Unconditionally,
Even after the lies,
The cheating, 
The weapons formed against me…
By my lover and family
I am their tool to harm each other,
Everything negative is channeled through me,
My spirit is weak,
I have only the power of three;
The father
The son
And the holy spirit.
My trinity
Daddy said, 
“God only blesses your first marriage baby”
And so I stand,
A wife, aspiring mother,
With many moments 
when there was only one footprint in the sand…
