Sloppy Wet Kisses

by Miguel A. Wilder

I greet you in the morning with a cup of hot cocoa.

Start your breakfast at the same time run your bath.

Eggs over easy, bread lightly toasted..."Baby I know."

I crack a few jokes, being silly, just to make you laugh.

Still wearing the scent of last nights love session.

55 minutes until it's time for you to truly start your day.

Why am I in this kitchen, when I should be in the bedroom with you?

Sended you off to work in my very own special way.

When I get to the bedroom, your eyes look into mine, and I set your
breakfast tray down on the carpet.

I run my fingers through your hair as I undo your gown, and you smile
and say, "Now baby you know you don't have time to start this."

I lay back with my mouth on your mouth, not listening to a single word
you said.

Now this is the real reason I got up so early this morning...to show you
the true meaning of breakfast in bed.

35 minutes later, and we are still wrapped up in it.

That's when you realized how much time had past.

"Oh baby!", you scream, "I only have 15 minutes." "We have to stop, I
have to get ready fast."

You take a quick shower, while I get your lunch together, still shaking
from the love we had just made before.

You get ready, and I'm feeling nothing could be better, as we meet each
other at the door.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too, and I'm so glad you're my Mrs."

"Here's your lunch, here's a hug, here's a rose, and a couple of sloppy
wet kisses.

I don't have to be at work until 11 o'clock tonight, so I piddle around
the house with nothing to do.

I straighten up the everyday clutter, feeling quite alright, because my
every thought is of you.

I sit, and watch tv., flipping channels, but there's nothing on.

Then I realize, that hours have past, "damn where's the time gone?"

Then I heard a funny sound, and it gave me a shock, as I turned around,
to my pleasant suprise it was you, putting your key in the lock.

"Baby," I said, "What are you doing home...it's only a little past two?"

She said, "I've felt nothing all day, but the love the you've placed in
my heart, and baby, I've come to give some to you."

She took me in her arms, and held my body tight.

Then she laid me down, and gave me the long version to what we started
this morning, that began last night.

She said, "I'm going to make sure you'll never, ever, ever want to take
a mistress, so let me fill your soul with the spirit of a passionate
woman, and your lips with sloppy wet kisses."

Time sure flies when you're having fun, and no love was ever greater.

I wake up still lying next to you baby, and it's fifty-five years later.

The kids are grown, and gone, and I'm just as in love with you as I was
all those years ago.

I know I tell you everyday, but still I thought I ought to let you know.

"I love you my husband," she said, as she pulled me near. "No other
place in the world, I'd rather be than here."

I turn to her and say, "My love, you've been my water of life, and I'm
so glad I made you my wife."

No prize, or price of money, could have caused me to miss this.

All the love...all the passion...all the warmth, and especially, those
sloppy wet kisses.
