There was a time in my life when I was a broken hearted man.

Trying to live my life the best that one can.

Confused about all the troubles in my head. 

I got down on my knees at the foot of my bed.

I bowed my head as I whispered to the wind.

LORD I know you told me to be my own best friend.

Must I be the only one to love me?

Can't someone else love me too?

Can you answer me please? LORD I'm begging you.

And to my surprise a light shined down on me. 

There was a figure of being right where I could see.

The voice I heard was smooth and pure, and I recognized the tone.

It was the same voice that told me once when I was young that I'd never
be alone.

It said, "I have guided your footsteps ever since your life has begun."

"I have always loved you, because you are my son."

"When you feel down in your heart of hearts there's one thing you should
think of."

"You are all that I am, and my son I am love."
