I'll Carry Your Cross For You

by Miguel A. Wilder

You are my brothers, and for you I'd gladly die.

If you are sad, and too proud, for you I'd gladly cry.

If you are feeling weak, broken, tired, or alone.

I've got the shoulder you can lean upon.

You are my partners, and you can depend on me.

Out here fighting for your dreams is where I'll always be.

Your load has gotten heavy, so know this much is true.

You can rest, and I'll carry your cross for you.

You are my sisters, and the ladies of the land.

When my pride is broken you heal it with your hand.

You've been punished for no reason, still you've kept a caring heart.

Without you I would have surely fallen apart.

When I was confused, and didn't know my way...... you knew.

So rest, and let me carry your cross for you.

We are brothers, and sisters in a land that has no pity.

You built this world, you built these towns, you built these cities.

As a united family you conquered all you fears.

And you did it all with blood, sweat, and tears.

Now, it's my turn to step out front, and bravely do my part.

To finish what you've started, and I mean that from my heart.

I want to be proud, and strong like you use to be.

I want to see the good in this world like you use to see.

I will bear your burdens now, you've long since paid what's due.

It's okay, you can rest, and I'll carry your cross for you.
