Cooper McNair

Cooper-McNair is a graduate student at Mississippi State University (Secondary Education with an emphasis in Speech Communications). She holds a B.A.degree in Broadcasting/Communications and has worked as an Internet Reporter and Commercial Advertiser for WDBD FOX 40 in Jackson, MS. She was the first black female to hold the position of Leading Anchor for Mississippi State University's Television Network (The Insight)in 1999. She has also taught 3rd grade in Jackson, MS.Presently, she is a journalist for The Reflector newspaper in Starkville, Miss. As a hobby, Cooper-McNair does poetry readings throughout the community. At the age of 12, her first piece of poetry was published and she was inducted into the National Society of Poets.

Cooper resides in West Point, MS with her four-year old son, Nicolas.
