While stars still sparkle in the morning sky 
I see the brilliance of the sun
Peaking and rising beautifully 
Changing like a chameleon into shades of red, orange and rose pastels
An infusion of calm and tranquility 
And at the moment dawn breaks and meets the blue skies
The magnificence and glory illuminate my humility
But I am a proud battelle
Awaiting tomorrows first light of day 
Hoping my spirit ascends and excels 
Respecting the beauty within the desert sunrise
