I often think when will our day come.
When will we be blessed with a little one.
Will it be a boy or will it be a girl.
I really don't care because I will give him or her the world.
If it's a boy I will raise him to be a strong Black Man.
To respect, protect and love the Black Woman.
To stand on his own two feet and follow his dreams.
Never to be discouraged by failure,
and to keep striving for his goals at full steam.
If it's a girl I will teach her to love and respect herself.
To do for self and not to depend on no one else.
To demand respect from the opposite sex and settle for nothing less.
I can't wait for the day to come .
