Sonya McCoy-Wilson is a literary fiction writer and a native of Los Angeles, CA. She was educated at Georgia State University, where she received a B.A. in English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. She also has an M.A. in Literary Studies. Her research interests are 19th and 20th century African American Literature. Her Master's Thesis entitled "Transgenerational Ghosting in the Psyches and Somas of African Americans and their Literatures," is published in the Georgia State University digital archives. Her short story, "The Rigor Tree" was just published in the July 2010 edition of Diverse Voices Quarterly.
