Longing For Entry

by Marty King

In case you do not let me enter, at least let me exit quietly
Our moods are mellow, and our conversation is demulcent
In case you do not allow me to stay,
just let my castrated confusion smile at you
I miss what you possess, and you miss how I express
We miss the ebb and flow of each others minds
In case you do not submit to promises,
please give me one more sample of the delectable candy
which are your lips
The pause called "Reluctance" keeps us locked here
It is all air- and water-tight now
Our combined breaths are in the air along with fear
All we both want to do is breathe
However, we want to do it against each other......so..........
In case you do not let me enter, at least let me reminisce lightly
Our moods are melodious, and our travails are like a loquaciously wet time line
