In a time of hurt and grief,
the most painful feelings are hardly ever brief

Sometimes lasting longer than we think they should,
we'd instantly take them away if we could

While going thru the fire, the only saving grace to ever exist
Should be called upon, at crucial times like this

For God will show mercy on those who seek Him,
and He will show them the way

On the other side of trials and tribulations, is rejoicing and praise

The victory is ours to claim, but first we must go thru the fire
