It's Raining

by Vanessa Williams Luster

Over looking the wet deck
as I stand there in the pouring rain.
Not even caring about getting wet.
I dont care at all.
Needing to take that plungering fall.
I can't exscape no matter how hard I try.
Still I cry. It's raining y'awl, raining hard.
Counting the tear drops
as they appear upon the nite fell waters
where I yet stand.
Needing a wondering hand.
It's raining.
Wondering when will it ever end.
Babygirl this is just the begining of this rain.
Cold, uncaring, selfish, uncontrolling, wet, but dry rain.
Rain drops, pain drops, strain drops.
They're all alike in many ways.
It's raining still today.
Try not to get wet if you can, stay away.
