Today a message comes (to us)

all the way from Heaven—
wearing the mouth of Maya Angelou,
her bright lipstick
smiling through her white flash of teeth—

to remind us how phenomenal it will be
when we all are able to tell each other:
It is always best when we sing together
and with the angels.
