Could burn you to ashes
Beautiful coconut skin
Creates sunshine when she smiles

A wonderful sense of humor
Patient and trustworthy
Full of unspeakable pride
Gently guiding her children
Encouraging self-righteousness
Self-respect and leadership

Small in size but
Amazingly strong
Eager to work hard
And long
A definite leader
In the eyes of her young

The warrior has taught me a lot
About life, people, and self
She is my mother
And I love her more
