AIDS is something
just people have.

Look at other impacts.

Rekai, Uganda.
A bustling trading center
With a stable population
third-world modern
on Lake Victoria

Claim to fame: HIV was first isolated there.

Rekai -
rutted, eroded asphalt,
no traffic,
former homes provide minimal shelter only,
no utilities or services.
A city in ruins.

The city died with its people.
No work force.
No infrastructure.
A ruin populated by forgotten ghosts.
Seventy percent HIV positive.
Forty percent of children
HIV orphans.

Such a waste.
Rekai and AIDS.
Could our town be next?
