Claim to fame: HIV was first isolated there.

Today 
Rekai -
rutted, eroded asphalt, 
no traffic,
former homes provide minimal shelter only,
no utilities or services.
A city in ruins.

The city died with its people.
No work force.
No infrastructure.
A ruin populated by forgotten ghosts.
Seventy percent HIV positive.
Forty percent of children 
HIV orphans.

Such a waste.
Rekai and AIDS.
Could our town be next?
