I’ve had this reoccurring dream
for quite sometime now
of the two of us
lying together
in front of a fireplace
entwined
on a purple & black
silk futon
sipping cup after cup 
of warm herbal tea
indulging each other’s senses
with hour long conversations
of nothingness
enjoying one another’s company
& the simplicity of it all
As the moments 
gently slipped away from us
& into the night
to be together
leaving us all alone…
