When I Rose

When I rose this morning

He was already painting walls

With his sleeves rolled up

And black jeans on

 

He was making speeches and

Shaking everyone’s hand

And giving us a song

 

He was teaching us to serve

Leading by doing and

Loving so strong

 

When I rose this morning

He was saying: Have no doubt

We will work together

We will overcome
