When will freedom ring?

To wake to updates of injustice

And slumber to news of hate each day

When will freedom ring?

More than racism is a crime, but

The very perpetuation of racial tension is a crime

All persons, especially those in positions of power

Who continue to allow racism to breed

Are guilty of committing crimes against humanity!

Every official who did nothing

Every person who continues to do nothing

To allow human beings the right to assemble

To allow human beings the right to be free

Are in direct violation of human rights.

It is sad, but true, that the struggle

For decency and freedom continues.

When will freedom ring?

 

We, as a nation, must overcome
