What is a good mother?
She is like no other
From diapers to the end
She is an undaunted friend
She nurtures……while she gives
Forsaking herself
A duty for her………not relinquished
Until her last breath.

She takes on all rivals
To ensure our survival
A hen with her chicks
Protective at all times
No rest for her
A doctor……when you’re sick.
She is our first teacher
All that we know
Comes from her time
Spent fertilizing our minds
Encouraging it to grow.

What is a good mother?
She reflects love in her heart
And the depths that it flows
Only God in heaven knows
He places us under her protective wings
Unbending….she smothers us
With never ending love…..she sings
The song of love
And she goes through the pain
Despite how life shapes us
She withstands the rain
With her unending trust.

She comes to our aid
Even if we are unworthy
Her love never fades
It is all but unearthly.
