She had a smile that stopped traffic
From mid bare thigh to ankle,
slick and shiny with baby oil
The summer sun baked her almond tone
to rich luscious dark mahogany
The warm wind from the south blew
and for a fraction of a second
All of her secrets I knew
Red lace
Blushing face
I turned away quickly
So she didn't think I was freaky
So I continued my journey
She ran quickly in from the cold
I watched her on the bank line
Waiting to use the ATM
I wonder if she saw me in passing and considered
"Maybe him..."
She unbuttoned her leather designer pea coat
Snug fitting dark blue hard denim jeans was exposed
The visible humidity of her warm breath
left her parched pouting brown lips
And rose past her perfectly placed nose
Her black chinky eyes squinted at the monitor
She was perfect head to toe
So I walked on
The earth began to thaw
And standing on the corner
Guess who I saw
She looked as fresh as the budding leaves
on the street trees
As the cars sped by on Broadway and 15th
She waited patiently
She had on bright earth tones
Paying me no attention
as she spoke on her digital phone
She was like a silent movie
I could see what's going on
But the subtitles could be misleading
Of course I kept it moving
No regrets
And to my surprise Miss Mahogany strolled by
in a red turtleneck
The leaves fell from the trees
With crimson fury
I smelled the crisp cool air roll down
from the Arctic Hills
As winter prepared for a hostile takeover
Like a Poison Pill
She walked in front of me
Jet Black Leather Skirt
Red 2-inch heel boots at her knees
Sheer Confidence
You could tell from her strut
Sister was NO NONSENSE
I'm not one for the "What could be?"
So I had to make it happen...
Feel me?
