New Day

by G. White

In my haunted haven
i laid
naked
on the cold white
 tiled floor
fetally wrapped in my arms
my back against the wall
its chill racing through my veins
in sync
with my goodbye tears
as the darkness swelled
it swept me within its grasp
consummating this farewell...
and a hand beckoned
 out to me
in the stillness of this grief
stripping me of its shield
and
 grabbed me
held me in his arms
tongue touching teasingly
 wisplike against my ear
through his repeated raspy
whispers of
I am here, Baby!
 my body then released
seduced
into the birth
of a new day.
