I am glad that my native tongue is English
Because there are so many words written the same way
Or sounding the same that have dissimilar meanings.
It must be so hard for foreign students to comprehend these idiosyncrasies.
There and their both sound alike so do hear and here.
Head and head both look alike but they mean noun or verb
According to the context they are used.
How about beauty and beauty, either noun or adjective
Flour and flower,  and foul and fowl.
The cop can book you meaning charge you with a crime
Or you can read an interesting book without doing any time.
There are so many of these types no wonder we are confused.
