Fired Up

by Barbara Evelyn

You are a strange one indeed
Your stature is tall
But inside you are a quivering mouse of a man.
You do not face confrontation
But dissemble and back peddle
Like a rabbit in the glare of headlights.
Where is your pride and your backbone man?
Hidden in a pile of secretions
That stain your shirt and armpits
Whenever you have to make a decision?
Yet you, coward that you are
Think nothing of picking on others
Those whose livelihood depend on you
The one who gives the orders.
I'm so grossed out by your cowardice
And the way you treat your underlings
I say wake up and behave
Or very soon
I'm going to give to you a challenge.
So be brave, respectful and lead
Treat others as you'd like to be treated
I'm so tired of your small mindedness
That I'm fully prepared to do battle.
