Tired

by Marcus Golden

Living through this lonely soul
My eyes begin to shut and fold
Cramped inside in an unwanted shell
Instead of being here I want to live in hell
Hold me close and pamper me
Tell me that it will be ok
Show me soon I will be free
Here, I refuse to breathe

I wish to walk on the other side
Live in the forever night
Reality here
Is what I fear
I’ve become
So tired

Treading every path alone
In these years what have I shown
Loneliness is what I know
Scarred by peoples visions
Murdered by peoples thoughts
On my knees here again
I pray to you again

I wish to walk on the other side
Live in the forever night
Reality here
Is what I fear
I’ve become
So tired

Do not try to awake me
Forevermore I sleep in silence
Blind to the aftertime
Disappear unworthy present
Because of you my eyes begin to fall
Because of you I’m getting sleepy
Because of you I am tired

I wish to walk on the other side
Live in the forever night
Reality here
Is what I fear
I’ve become
So tired
