Familiar Road

by Marcus Golden

You walk again these roads that you are afraid to walk
As shadows of pain lingers and your scars begin to talk
You've been down this road before
Making the same mistake again can cut 2 times 4
Trusting love I've been down this road once
Ran into love and its counterparts
After a while it left me counting parts
Of ma heart on tha ground shattered
All because I listened to the music love played on its harp
Then we found each other in the same place
Don't touch me, I don't touch you,
But I want you and you want me
You don't trust me and
I damn sure dont trust you
I mean this is what love has taught us and brought us too
But take ma hand
Take ma hand so we can walk this road again together
To get her which is love
We'll find to break down the barriers
Which we have built over time
And over time I'll work to prove my love for you
As we conquer our fears beside each other
I'll never leave you to battle them alone
You're ma soldier,
ma prince
The one I feel saves me from decadence
And that’s why I'm not afraid to tell you Ma Prince That I love you.
