A Deceptive Thought

by BThunder

Convince me that the words that you speak are your bond
That your life's humble 'cause of pathes you have travel on
That the lies that you tell are not what you believe
That your heart is not deception that is worn on your sleeve

Speak the lies that you told to make me forget
Of what truely unfolds once my memory is wet
Or should I say cloudy from what I wish was
While you pretend that it was just because

Continue to bait me, for I must seem shallow
I choose to play to entertain but the rules are hard to swallow
Think ahead while the master has each move planned ‘til end
While you beat me down bad, remember once we were friends

"I love you" you said, then to question my resist.
But love shows in actions, not spoken amiss
Now trust must rebuild, fences mend on the ranch
Revisit by reliving some new circumstance
