Illegitimate Child

by Damon L. Fordham

See the boy playing in
the street?

Because his parents
were never married,
some call him an
"illegitimate child."

But let's look at that for a moment,
doesn't the word "illegitimate"
mean "something that's not real?"

Are his arms made of plastic?
(No, I don't think so)
Is his head made of rubber?
(No, I don't think so)
Are his eyes made of buttons?
(No, I don't think so)
Are his feet made of leather?
(No,1 don't think so)

So anyone can see
that this is a real boy.

Therefore, There are no "illegitimate"
children. For all children are
legitimate human beings.
