Breathe On Me

by Marilyn Ferrell

I've known the yielding of the fruitful vine
while it was yet unborn,
I rise,

In Your pool of forgiveness, I've bathed,
by Your mercies, I have been healed,
Oh, Faithful.
Through my sin and restlessness
my soul was as a candle burning low,
in the darkness of uncertain tomorrows,
so many soiled pillows from
so many sorrowful nights
yet, You stood by me.
A navigator
You guided me from the
danger of my ways.
Joy
As oil to light my lamp
for every time You calmed me,
reached out, hid me under Your wings,
In You, I've learned to believe,
	anew,
	      exhaling,
You lead me in the path of righteousness
	             for Your name's sake,
with the feet of a doe, I prance
in the valley of sweet assurance.

I've remembered the early rain,
I'll enjoy the feast of the
anointed and pure,
You anoint my head with oil,
my cup runs over,
those that wait upon the Lord
shall in all things endure.
