Our Last Dance

by David Farrar

Well here we both are
For he very last time
As I gaze in your eyes
With your hands inside mine

This is our very last stroll
Our last dance on the floor
Our last moment together
Once you walk out that door

So I'm taking this time
To forget what went wrong
As I hold you once more
To our favorite song

Though our time is cut short
I am stopping the clock
And I'm hiding the key
So the door will stay locked

Then I'm telling the band
To let our song play
For now and forever
Or until the next day

But I know it won't change
What's already been done
So let's cling to this dance
Until the rise of the Sun

And if you still feel it's over
And you really must go
Then at least our last dance
Were sweet moments we stole
