I'm Addressing This Poem

by David Farrar

I'm addressing this poem
To all my Black Brothers
Who seem to lose touch
And that respect for another

Who have decided to live
In that life of fast times
Of dealing with drugs
Or abuse, and black crime

I'm addressing this poem
To all the Black men
Who beat on our women
From time and again

With language so foul
And clothes hanging low
Degrading themselves
Like a bum on skid row

I'm addressing this poem
To those we can't find
They never Father their young
They just leave them behind

For they show no remorse
With their mind in their pants
Making so many babies
To survive without chance

I'm addressing this poem
So these Brothers could know
That it's time to step up
And be a positive role

And give back to our Race
That directional guide
So that Blacks may succeed
With a sense of Black pride
