Jump Back

by Essie Nail

Jump Back

There is a bear in the corner,
Jump Back

He is lurking, ready to pounce,
Jump Back

Over 200 years ago, he fashioned a plan,
in the corner he sits and waits to pounce on our man.
Jump Back

From the ship to the field,
from the field to the plant,
from the plant to the office, the bear sits.
Jump Back

The bear sits, waits, plans, and executes.
Our man smiles, dances, sings, and works.
Quickly, the bear strikes, devours, and then he waits.

Don't you see the bear in the corner?
Jump Back

Jump back brother as soon as you see
that big white bear is stalking you.
He follows with his eyes so catches you by surprise.
Brother, there is a bear in the corner.
Jump Back
