I'm so tired

so very weary

my mind and soul

completely worn

in tatters

feeling like

nothing matters

all my efforts

for naught

fighting every day

to keep my head above...

battles I've fought

forever it seems

seeking that place

where peace awaits

now only in my dreams

or so it seems - 

I just know

it ain't today.
