Ruinous Destiny

News...
Television keeps flashing
    devastation in fashion...
        crashing planes into fractions,
        hurricanes bashing cities
Caskets fill with bodies
    twice or more the next year
Flower baskets fill with sympathy
    as memories blister and bring tears

And my poor human race is
     stumbling over shoe laces
Dirt in our faces of anger
Hate is no stranger
Hell is at stake
    as God is a stranger...
Life is ever stranger
Devine entity is in danger
     when swimming in the cesspool
     of mans inhumanity
More souls slip away from Heaven's canopy
Bibles are taken for granted
     when we...
        think that in death we all float above,
        in life we sink in ships set adrift
            on a sea of love
Then, upon the grounds of Hell, 
     we lay when we die...
     surprised to look up and see the angels
        fly by
