she saves her tears
waiting until she feels safe
sitting in movie theaters
where the hi-fidelity sound drowns her sobs
and her crying seems to go unnoticed
in the darkness
using the movie as her release
her time to get a good cry
since she wouldn't cry when
her lover hurt her and
her best friend betrayed her and
she sold herself to the world
just to be a part of it and them
so when the movie starts and a character hurts
she'll cry
and will keep crying even when the character starts smiling
because she feels safe now
and it's hard to stop once you've started
