Queen Mother

by Poetrymama

See me as ancient times before
strong Black Queen with Color
as I strut pass with enough
attitude and respect for my
Black Brothas who show know
I Am Your Queen Mother

Yes, Black Queen who gave you
life with pain that bore through
me so you would survive in a world
where it takes stamina and strength
to stay alive

Pain shook my soul as I endured giving
birth to hope from the womb
I nutured your soul with love only a
Black Queen could show

I watched Yes I watched as you lived of
the world
when times seem to disrupt your soul like
a butterfly I circled around and around you
until troubles passed you by

Aunts, Sistuahs, Mothers or just the lady from
down the way
all Queen Mothers to help brighten your days
We deserve your respect and love for all the
days of your life

We are not Bitches or Hoes as you so famously
like to quote
because if not for us within eternity your soul
would forever Float
