Courage to know that I shouldn’t always have to fight

Courage to pack up my things and to walk out that door
Courage to understand that I don’t have to take your abuse any more

Courage not to have my self-esteem wrapped up in you knowing you'll only 
bend it out of shape
Courage to know that every thing in my life is gonna be ok

Courage to walk down that sidewalk without looking back
Courage not to ever walk into another trap

Courage is what it is going to take for me
Courage to stand up against the wrongs that have done to me

Yes courage is what I will need to see this thing through
